In May 2006 we renewed a contract with London Underground for a further 8.5yrs. A key element of this bid win was a commitment to a huge investment (£40m+) in digital technology to transform the advertising proposition on the Tube through the installation of the UK’s largest out-of-home screen network. This network is due to be complete by the end of 2007.

In preparation for the digital rollout CBS Outdoor launched ‘Alive’ at the beginning of Dec 2006 as its dedicated Digital and Interactive division. Alive’s remit is to drive the development and sale of the new digital formats new screen-based networks we are committed to installing across the London Underground over the next 18-months. 

CBS Outdoor is already recognised as the leading force within Digital out-of-home and the ambition is for Alive to be recognised as a leading digital London media brand in its own right.
