Assistant Category Manager – Beverage Foodservices – Croydon

Salary circ £28,000 plus an excellent benefits package

Nestlé Foodservices is currently looking for an Assistant Category Manager to join our Beverage category working on an impressive portfolio of world famous brands from Nescafé to Aero.  This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about the food and beverage industry, to join our talented team and continue to drive Beverage category growth, and to set new standards that will continue to leave the competition behind. We’re looking for the ideal person to engage and as a team – make it happen!  This role provides all the variety, challenges and teamwork you’ve been waiting for.

Reporting to the Catering Category Manager, you will be fully responsible for:

  • Managing up to three brands and identifying opportunities for them within the Foodservice/B2B environment. Recommending how best to maximise their growth, understanding the impact of consumer trends and RTM (Route to Market) customer implications, to drive improved turnover and profits.
  • Providing recommendations to the business, executing your ideas to reality.
  • Monitoring brand and product performance, and developing insight based category strategies.
  • Interpret market data to address customer needs, identifying initiatives and deliver promotions to increase sales.
The ideal candidate will have,

  • A proven track record in B2B marketing
  • Experience in briefing and managing creative agencies
  • Exposure and understanding of P&Ls and budgeting
  • Experience in a Foodservice environment preferred but not essential
  • HND/Degree in Marketing or equivalent business experience
You will already be a competent leader, a self starter, with bags of initiative. You will have excellent project management, communication, presentation and influencing skills to all levels, you thrive on results and in return will relish the fun, challenges and opportunities a diverse beverage business can bring.
