Award-winning full-service digital marketing agency seeks PR/Communications Director to head up its newly formed Communications Department.

The Role:

A pivotal hire for this thriving digital agency, the PR/Communications Director is responsible for its online PR and social media campaign output for an impressive and ever-growing roster of clients.

The Director will oversee a department of 10+, comprising publicists and social media experts and report into senior players in the company, and must, therefore, be happy and capable of working under their own steam.

Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include: ensuring that both the traditional online PR and social media PR functions are exploited to their full potential across all communications campaigns, and liaising with the Account Handling team to make this happen – evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness of such campaigns – providing top-level strategic advice to clients - keeping up-to-date with key trends and developments in the industry - reviewing and developing best working practises amongst the Communications team - identifying new business opportunities with existing and potential clients - nurturing individual team members’ career development - taking responsibility for the finances and overall profitability of the department.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be: passionate and knowledgeable about the digital media industry – able to demonstrate a track record delivering creative, imaginative and original PR and/or social media campaigns - results-driven, with an eagerness to ensure campaign results are accountable and represent a return on investment.
