Senior Brand Strategist - two roles
To join our client’s team of strategists you will need to be exceptional. You will need to demonstrate advanced strategic thinking skills, creativity, organisational flair and people skills in their specialist area – consultancy for people-centred brands and services. Entrepreneurial and business-orientated, you will relish getting under the skin of organisations, relate confidently to clients at the highest level and enjoy challenging and innovating. You will be an impressive communicator and be an empathetic and thoughtful listener. A strong team player with excellent project management skills, you will remain formidably organised and disciplined even under pressure.
Traits:-
There are three facets to a role in this organisation:-
1. It is the quality of their strategic response which more than anything creates value for their clients, drawing on the insights produced by meticulous research and investigation. So you will need to be analytical and creative – as well as inquisitive, well-informed and genuinely fascinated by each new client challenge.
2. Because the role is client-facing, you will need to be articulate and astute, with super-sized empathy and intuition.
3. And because you will be running projects, you will need to have a good practical head for business, efficiently managing time, clients and budgets and spotting new commercial opportunities.
The person: key attributes:
• Significant relevant experience which is likely to include some senior experience in the brand strategy/comms planning space and internal engagement.
• Now wants to drive strategy and lead, manage and mentor people
• Will combine all three facets of the role, at the highest level – research and strategy, client-facing skills and project planning
Broad responsibilities:
• Direct a team of consultants and provide lead on strategy, project design and delivery, including day-to-day management, development and recruitment
• Engage with Board-level clients as project leader, leading workshops and strategy work streams
• Demonstrate thought-leadership on projects, speaking at conferences and publishing Points of View
• Identify and generate potential projects from existing and new clients, taking responsibility for fee revenue and profit
