Wanderlust is looking for a website editor to take responsibility of our sites, wanderlust.co.uk and goWander.com. They are to be redeveloped in the coming months, so this is a particularly exciting time for this position to become available.
The role's responsibilities include:
- Generating fresh content for our websites, including news stories and mini-features
- Editing and uploading magazine articles
- Production of our weekly email newsletters
- Moderating user-generated content
- Implementing the sites' natural search strategies
You’ll be a motivated self-starter who can generate ideas but also has fantastic attention to detail. While this is an editorial role, you’ll be commercially savvy too. You’ll have experience of content management systems, have a good feel for social media, and will understand the principles of SEO. You’ll have some basic technical web publishing skills. It goes without saying that you’ll understand the Wanderlust reader, and that this is a job that you'll want to live and breathe.

2. Suggest three ideas for topics that will stimulate much debate amongst our online community
3. Write a travel news story from the past two weeks for publication on wanderlust.co.uk. Please ensure this is no more than 100 words in length (not including the headline)
4. Imagine Bruce Parry has a new BBC TV series about to air. Tell us what you would want to do online to tie-in with this, and how would it differ/relate to any coverage in the magazine
5. Suggest three ideas for features/topics that demonstrate how the
website(s) could feed back into Wanderlust magazine
6. Suggest three ideas for driving new, relevant traffic to the Wanderlust website, whether using natural search, social media or other methods
