Our Client is a leading provider of optical products and solutions for the communications industry. To ensure growth within their India Sales organisation they are looking for a highly motivated sales professional with proven experience within the telecommunications sector (Based in India).

Responsibilities:
• To plan, manage, and coordinate the operation of the India Sales organization throughout the country
• To assess, propose, justify and initiate complimentary business investments in India subject to regional authority
• To manage the training, coaching and motivation of employees and to successfully deploy the company employment policies and procedures
• To lead the development of the Company's strategic marketing plan in India
• To take responsibility for the business forecasts, assist in formulating business budgets and ensuring that sales budgets and profit forecasts are achieved
• To participate as a senior manager in the Regional Asia Pacific Management team program contributing to the strategic planning for success in the Asia Pacific
• Determines, and is responsible for, the control and direction of a national sales organization, covering distribution to dealers and customers of the company's range of products and services
• Implements approved marketing policy and ensures that the sales team achieves objectives with maximum profitability
• Prepare national sale targets and budgets, and accounts for variances in results
• Controls, directs and motivates the India-wide sales force operating through regional and state sales branches
• Supervises allocations of sales force to tasks and directs their training and motivational development
• Conducts performance assessment of all sales staff, implements an appropriate incentive scheme, initiates professional development schemes and prepares mangers for greater roles of responsibility
• Recruit and select all employees subject to co-ordination with local managers
• Recommend product line revision, pricing and establish general sales policy

Requirements/Qualifications:
• Conceptual thinker who can understand complex multi topology network environments and provide appropriate test recommendations
• Extensive experience in leadership and people management skills
• Able to mentor sales team
• Superior interpersonal skills with the capacity to build rapport with customers/clients
• An innovative and proactive approach
• Highly developed time management skills with the ability to manage and deliver business solutions
• Sound background in marketing and sales skills together with appropriate knowledge of business environment and applications for the company's products and services
• Visionary and solution-orientated
• Master Degree/Ph D in Business or related curriculum combined with at least 15 years proven sales within telecommunications or data communications industry
• Demonstrated advanced skills developed in areas of corporate sales, management, business planning and time management
• In depth knowledge of market competitors within specified sales territories, selling strategies, sales personnel and product differentiators
• Experience in working with key account managers to direct customer business strategies to align with company's business strategies
• Ability to predict competitive moves in sales situations and effectively counter these moves
• Experience in performing root-cause analysis and propose solutions to identified problems
• Knowledge of practice methods needed to attract, motivate and retain a successful sales team
• Able to accurately understand clients needs and develop appropriate solution packages
• Mastery over a large variety of product specification and applications
• Experience in customer service/sales support within Data or Telecoms industries
• Ability to articulate technical concepts in detail to any audience
• Ability to independently plan and organise own activities €“ ability to cooperate with colleagues and managers to effectively prioritise and deliver what is expected
