Fantastic role to head up the copy department including management responsibilities for a reputable and expanding mid-sized Digital Agency in Central London. You will be a real all-rounder across strategic well crafted long copy and marcomms. Retail accounts experience is a must!

The Role

This role of Head of Copy would suit a senior hybrid copywriter with a great balance of websites and campaigns and really importantly is forward thinking in the realms digital. You will have a conceptual and strategic mind that can craft long copy and content for websites and also deliver shorter more impactful work for marketing communications. So all in all a well balanced portfolio that demonstrates an in-depth understanding of copy. This position requires management experience to oversee and department that fluctuates depending on size of project from 3 to 8 in the team.

Key day-to-day tasks for this Head of Copy include;

+ Management experience to help the Creative Director by guiding and overseeing the writers in the department.
+ Passion for retail and good client portfolio to support this.
+ You will have around 7 years online experience, with a well-rounded hybrid portfolio – ie, not just marcomms OR design and build. Must also be content strategy focused!!
+ The ability to lead from the front by producing excellent marketing concepts and long copy as well as overseeing 2 full timers and buying in freelance project by project if needed (when busy, up to 8 writers).
+ It’s possible that you come from an integrated background, but you must have seriously good handle of all things digital, with a quality portfolio to support this.
+ The role is client-facing and you will be working closely with the Creative Director on presentations and pitches.


Salary: Circa £50k (a degree of flexibility for the right candidate).
