Overview

The Intersnack Group is a leading player in the European savoury snacks market.

The role is to support the Marketing Manager in the implementation of the company’s marketing plans. The Company has exciting and ambitious plans to grow its branded business and the successful candidate will be expected to own specific projects within marcoms and NPD. The role will include responsibility for market data analysis, website management and general marketing activities. This will necessitate working with cross functional teams both within the UK operation, European Group Companies and external suppliers / agencies. The successful candidate should have a Diploma in Marketing or similar degree level marketing qualification, experience in Marketing of branded consumer products (FMCG), and should be outgoing, friendly, determined, enthusiastic, articulate and creative.

Person Specification

General
The role is to provide maternity leave cover foreseen as 1 year. Must be prepared to travel on business (eg for UK trade shows and occasionally to Germany etc). Will need to have own car and full license.

Education
Higher education in business related subjects (Diploma in Marketing or similar degree level marketing qualification).

Experience
Experience in Marketing of branded consumer products (FMCG) ideally within a branded food products company.
Experience of managing external agencies.

Skills
Good written and oral communication and presentation skills; ability to work with numbers and analyse data; evidence of team working in a business environment, Creative and enthusiastic with evidence of self starting.
Organised with good administration skills, able to manage / juggle a lot of projects.

Knowledge
Understanding of the principals of marketing and brand management processes. Market research – ideally knowledge of using continuous data from IRI / Nielsen or similar and conducting ad hoc studies (qual & quant) via research agencies.
