My client is a leading media network with an impressive portfolio of clients who is currently looking for an Account Director to work in the International Team and be responsible for implementing activity locally and collecting market data across different territories.
The International team's function is to plan and buy in multi-markets, including Europe, US and Asia, from London. You will ideally take a flexible approach to how international business is managed; some accounts are fully planned and bought from London and others are planned in London and bought in the local market.
This role involves reporting into the Group Account Director in the International team. The AD will help run and manage a team including Account Manager and Account Executive (sometimes more, depending on brief) and managing clients including ExxonMobil, Clarks Shoes, BAE Systems.
The day to day role involves planning and buying online media (specifically display advertising and some Search) and working within the team to process and implement campaigns. Coordination is another requirement which involves briefing and collating information from the local markets for multi-markets campaigns. The individual will also be liaising with the other agency partners, such as creative and PR to provide a seamless process for the client.
The role offers good autonomy within the team framework with the direct responsibility for the brand and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Clients:
* Hold responsibility for some of the largest pieces of business in the agency.
* Manage accounts confidently on a day to day basis
* Develop and maintain excellent client relationships
* Manage and support Account Managers and Account Execs on specific accounts
* Drive integrated process and thinking across client teams, strategy and product areas, this requires good knowledge of all online opportunities.
People:
* Manage digital development/mentoring of all people within media teams, specifically the Digital Manager.
* People supervision - monitor day to day aspects of junior employees' work to ensure high quality output and manage the group's workload
* Appraise account group and identify training needs
* Provide on the job training and learning opportunities for junior people
Business:
* Supervise / undertake additional projects beyond client responsibilities as requested (new business pitches, market reviews, competitive trends, etc)
* Share responsibility with management for developing new revenue streams (both on and offline)
* Provide timely & accurate billings projections when requested
* Assist in the development of and participation in selling our services (through internal inductions, external marketing departments, etc)
* To support the GAD team in implementation of business & marketing plan when required
