The Role Objective

To take responsibility for the management a Key EMEA Account

The main responsibilities will include…

Account Management

• Integrating with account teams from other areas of digital
• Building up regular contact with clients, keeping them up-to-date on all Search matters
• Pitching to clients
• Advising on tracking solutions

Programme Management

• Working with departmental account managers to understand KPIs of campaigns, and integrate with offline media plans.
• Ensuring search best practice is adhered to
• Guiding your team in understanding how to plan to hit business targets e.g. CPR, ROI and volumes
• Responsible for continued test and optimisation plan.
• Planning search programmes to different objective criteria (e.g. brand vs direct strategy)
• Managing all reporting of campaigns on a weekly/monthly basis (with support of a Search Executive)
• Incorporating testing and innovation in search programmes
• Monitoring bookings and ensuring they are entered onto internal booking systems
People Management

• Liaising with line manager and aiding in the appraisal, training and development of your search planner buyer and search executive

Continued Development

• Developing an understanding of strategic communications planning, and wider company offerings

• Learning the importance of related considerations such as; creative strategy, fulfilment, conversion methods, call handling, technical developments

• Undertaking on-the-job training and workshops and internal/external training sessions


Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

The Search Manager must have an advanced understanding of all aspects of Search Engine Marketing including:

• PPC search engine ranking systems
• PPC optimisation techniques
• Search engine administration tools (Google, Yahoo & MSN)
• Experience of 3rd party tracking and Bid Management tools…
• Experience of Analytics suites
