Our client are industry leaders in the financial services market. They are currently looking to recruit a User Experience Manager who will be responsible for leading the creation of a first class user experience on our website. S/he will work closely with members of the business to help them innovate, and be able to draw together those innovations into a cohesive customer experience.
* Creating an excellent user experience and validating decisions via user testing or other appropriate methods
* Carrying out ongoing user tests, analysis and presentation to the business where appropriate
* Producing detailed wireframes and site maps
* Making ongoing design decisions based on best practice, test outcomes throughout the lifecycle of a project
* Coordinate regular user testing of our web content, review and implement accessibility standards, and advise on the integration of our user experience into the presentation layer of the site
* The delivery of the user experience on the website
* Shared ownership and management of usability testing
Experience of working along side interaction designers and Visual/Graphic designers.
Essential
* Persuasive speaking, presentation and negotiation skills
Desirable
* Degree in HCI related discipline and/or psychology an advantage (but not necessary as hands on experience is much more important)
* Knowledge of Agile software development methodology
* Strong project management skills, as will be liaising with in-house teams and managing external agencies
EXPERIENCE:
Essential
* Currently in either a usability consulting role or currently working as an in house expert
* Proven record in usability industry
* Examples of previous work (academic studies or anonymised client work) should be shown
* Experience of scoping out, planning and managing projects
* Experienced in planning, completing, analysing and reporting on user testing sessions, finally recommending practical and achievable changes
* Strong theoretical and practical user centred design skills
* Experience of information architecture development and wire framing
* Designing and running user testing sessions
* Conducting expert usability and accessibility audits of sites
* Producing actionable and realistic recommendations
Desirable
* Experience of working along side web design teams
