Job Summary/ Purpose:

Key Responsibilities:
SEO:
*Understand the core marketing objectives for each brand and provide strategic input to help formulate a multi-channel search marketing strategy to achieve defined objectives whilst maintaining SEM KPIs
*Have an unrivalled, up to date knowledge of Search Engine methodology and implement changes to improve ranking and traffic
*Raise the profile and importance of SEO; obsessively putting SEO at the top of the agenda.
*Educate infrastructure team, development team, product team, brand marketing team on "SEO best practice"
*Build and execute the content strategy for SEO including on page optimization (revise and constantly improve copy, title, & descriptions)
*Liaise with development team, product teams and marketing to ensure technical implementations of all projects are SEO optimized and in-line with SEO strategy.
*Research and deliver full project plans with supporting documentation including technical/development specifications, traffic projections/modelling, timescales, resource requirements, KPI metrics and tracking requirements etc.
*Create and execute link building strategy including competitor research and explore new opportunities; coordinating link building activities (internal and external) to ensure a unified approach is adopted by in-house teams and external agencies, in-line with the company portfolio SEM strategy
*Perform regular SWOT analysis and technical audits across all sites
*Increase qualified traffic from current channels and investigate new traffic opportunities whilst mitigating risks which may affect the long-term success of search marketing
*Implement monitoring tools and build the process & reports for monitoring performance
*Research new KWs opportunities and search trends
*Manage & execute directory submissions, online PR submissions & other outreach programs
*Work with the SEM and in-house Research team to deliver regular (and ad-hoc) SEM campaign analysis and KPI reports
*Monitor company PPC campaign performance and ensure KPI targets are maintained. Provide strategic input to further optimise paid channels and manage agency/staff to ensure delivery of regular campaign reports, analysis and recommendations
*Coordinate on-page optimisation trials with the Product team to deliver quantitative analysis of SEO and PPC initiatives aimed at improving CTR.
Social:
*Develop social strategy to help build social signals for SEO and lay foundations for building fans/followers on twitter and other social channels
*Provide expert guidance for the rest of the business in SEO optimization of Social campaigns
*Develop and execute competitions, and other Social activities
*Come up with creative, unique social campaigns together with establishing best practice with key social mediums; particularly Facebook and Twitter
*Provide strategic and creative input to formulate a social media marketing strategy for the company portfolio, deliver maintain best practice SEM guidelines for SMM

Minimum Candidate Requirements:

Essential:
*Track record of significantly increasing revenue and traffic generated via SEO
*Expert in all areas of SEO including strong technical skills with at least 5+ years of experience
*Knowledge of latest online trends and search industry developments
*Advanced SEO knowledge and experience of optimising large websites (+1M pages)
*Understanding of best practice SEO and PPC optimisation techniques
*Ability to interpret key data metrics through analytics tools and deliver insightful analysis, reports and recommendations
*A good knowledge of all major search engines, an awareness of the latest algorithm developments/updates and understanding of the implications to SEM
*Advanced knowledge and experience of using and implementing website analytics packages (Google Analytics, Omniture etc.) for campaign/segmentation analysis
*Strong analytic skills and a proactive approach to using internal and external data sources to identify emerging trends, new opportunities and potential weaknesses
*Ability to fully scope SEM project requirements and deliver clear documentation and analysis of results
*Proactive and creative approach to developing new SEO techniques
*Must have excellent analytic and problem solving skills with an advanced knowledge of excel
*Strong knowledge of social media integration, marketing and social SEO
*Experience with creating social media ads, executing competitions on social platforms and their effect on raising social signals for SEO
*A flexible, approachable attitude with good problem solving skills
*Commercially focused and driven with the ability to work towards metrics and manage budgets
*Ability to work to deadlines in a fast paced environment
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desirable:
*Budget management and financial planning
*Experience of developing and managing e-commerce or paid online campaigns
*Experience of PPC campaign management tools - Marin, AdWords, AdCenter etc.
*An ability to identify and assess authority SEM information sources
*Previous experience of using Hitwise
*Experience of Social Media Marketing - Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc.
*SEO techniques applicable to blogging (Wordpress) and video SEO
*Experience of managing dedicated servers and setting up websites
*Qualified Google AdWords Professional.
