As Category Planning Manager for this major blue chip FMCG manufacturer, you will be responsible for building category partnerships with major customers within the high street channel. You will develop category plans, implement promotional plans, increase distribution points, support range reviews, implement major merchandising objectives, as well as build successful brands & a strong pipeline of incremental NPD.
Our Ideal Candidate
Food experience is a distinct advantage, although not mandatory, as is UK experience. With a background that might include trade/category marketing, space planning or shopper/market insight, you’ll have a good understanding of marketing & brand issues including POS & in-store promotions. You will be highly experienced in terms of range reviews, as well as developing trade sells for new listings & distribution increases. You’ll be a strong analytical thinker, able to analyse data quickly & accurately, turning it into clear business recommendations. Strong communications skills are key, as is the ability to work under pressure, often to tight timetables.
