As a member of the Global Online Display Advertising group, the Senior Marketing Specialist will be a key team member in building a world-class marketing group from the ground up.

We are seeking a top-notch trade marketing professional who can conceptualize and develop creative client-facing materials that position Amazon’s Display Advertising offers to leading marketers throughout the world.

You will work closely with and across teams that span Product, Targeting, Analytics, Research and Sales in developing compelling storylines and crisp positioning based on deep data and best-in-class solutions. You will also lead in the identification, prioritization and execution of direct-to-client marketing and thought leadership opportunities designed to drive client awareness and demand.

You will join a rapidly-growing team at an early stage in its development, and have the opportunity to influence the go-to-market strategy on a daily basis for a new and rapidly-emerging advertising platform.

This role will require experience in media advertising sales and marketing, a solid understanding of how to best use and position syndicated research to tell a story, and a strong drive to innovate and develop something new and different.

Experience: 

• Proven experience in media, advertising, relationship marketing or online marketing - preferably within a major web publisher, audience or data provider, ad agency or media company.
• Experience with market research sources and go to market positioning development
• Demonstrated success in developing direct-to-client thought leadership and communication materials, events and touch points
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel
• Deep knowledge of the online or mobile advertising community
• A solid balance between creative and data-driven storytelling abilities
• An ability to manage and negotiate with vendors
• An understanding of online/mobile media fundamentals (how media is bought and sold, pricing models, ad effectiveness)
• Superior communication skills and clear customer focus
• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to try different things with minimal direction
