Account Director

 The Role:


This is role is with a full service advertising agency, full of talented individuals who offer their expertise in communications, applications, mobile and platform development. This unique role will entail dividing your time between managing an account for a prestigious dark rum brand and working alongside the agency’s new business team to identify new opportunities. You will be responsible for the day to day direction of the client account, ensuring that it is on track both in terms of delivery but also in terms of future planning.

The Candidate:

This agency is looking for an individual with solid experience working on a fast paced digital communications accounts with proven experience of leading new business pitches, RFI’s and tenders. In order to hit the ground running you will need to have demonstrable knowledge of marketing principles and best practice on document writing as well as a proactive and hands on approach to all aspects of your role. Other attributes which will make you stand out from the crowd will be:

• Previous experience in digital innovation.
• Strong entrepreneurial skills.
• Confident presentation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to think strategically and globally.
• Ability to work on several projects/accounts simultaneously.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

As Account Director you will be heavily involved in Agency’s pitches from tenders to RFI’s; managing the day-to-day pitch experience itself whilst keeping track of all pitch costs vs. agreed budgets for 2012. As senior part of the team you will be responsible for annual reviews of the Agency’s new business and marketing objectives, strategies, measures and budgets. This will therefore require the Account Director to study and understand the commercial realties of the business the Client is in and spotting opportunities to develop the Agency’s role.
