Product Planning Manager (Automotive)
Our client is an automotive manufacturer who is currently experiencing an exciting period of growth and development. They are seeking a Product Planning Manager with responsibility for managing their UK product offering. Managing a team of product managers, and working closely with the European and Head Office, the role is responsible for UK product planning & positioning, customer profiling, pricing, vehicle launches and lifecycle strategy.
To manage the vehicle product planning and development activities of the manufacturer in order to support the brand and commercial objectives of the business.
To maximise volume & profitability through whole life planning and product introductions and pricing action.
The successful candidate will:
Have a background in Motor product management OR cross-functional Sales & Marketing experience including time at Product Manager level or Project work
Experience of working across a range of product market segments, preferably gained with a mainstream automotive brand.
Pricing and specification management
Full product lifecycle management, including product development
Product launch planning
Industry analytical tools
Budget and people management
P& L responsibility
Excellent grasp of latest industry and product issues.
Consumer and commercial focus.
Understanding and experience of broader sales & marketing management and disciplines.
Have excellent communication and presentation skills
Be educated to degree level
Demonstrate a progressive career history
