Marketing Manager-Price and Promotions (Insight), Retail, South East, £3-6 months, £competitive


This major retailer is looking for a Marketing Manager of Price and Promotions (Insight) to increase the business' understanding of customer perceptions and expectations of price and promotions.


As Marketing Manager of Price and Promotions (Insight) you will undertake analysis to increase the business' understanding of competitor price and promotion strategies and look at how these change over time. You will deliver this insight through both short term pieces of analysis as well as longer term strategic initiatives and will deliver and/or manage other resources or processes to convey insight to the business, using analytical skills and judgment. Your time will be divided as follows:
30% of time analysing aspects of price and promotion activity
30% of time developing insights from my analysis
30% working with and influencing the business to develop and deliver these insights
10% spent on personal development, including attending organised training programmes


To be considered for this Marketing Manager opportunity you must have the following skills and experience:

*Mathematics + analytical background and experience
*Advanced SQL and database skills - ability to draw out key insights
*Visual Basic - strong understanding and application
*Proven strong problem solving capability
*Ability to interpret data, spot trends, draw conclusions and make recommendations
*Project Management experience an advantage
