JM Digital are currently recruiting for an experienced Front End Developer on behalf of one of the biggest household names in terms of e-commerce. Our client is looking for top candidate to join they're growing Web Development team based in Southampton.
Role Purpose:
To develop code and configuration to produce working digital interfaces and functionality that meet the customer need and conform to digital design aspirations.
Role Objectives:
*Work with UX to deliver required interface functionality and behaviour that reflects Digital Graphic Design
*Write and update code for site analytics, SEO optimisation and metadata
*Configure complex Sitebuilder assets where there is a risk of impacting the wider digital interface.
*Create Sitebuilder assets where additional business user configuration capability is required.
*Provide support to BA to document any asset changes
*Provide support to defect resolution both in production and in development Visual
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required
Essential skills:
*Has knowledge and experience of Spindrift Sitebuilder tools, and ATG in a production environment
*Excellent coding standards in HTML, JSP, JavaScript, CSS
*Experience in developing for multiple digital interfaces and a solid understanding of the constraints of each.
*Experience in the dynamics of screen touch-events and other innovative user experience paradigms.
*A good understanding of UX and accessibility principles.
*Able to take graphic design and apply the vision without compromise, however is willing and able to advocate for modification should the need arise.
Knowledge and experience:
*Customer focused; understand the needs of customers internally and externally and can align and deliver against customer insight, striving for the customer to be a the forefront of all thinking
*Working with others; builds effective relationships with internal and external networks, can tackle conflict when problems occur and endeavours to work collaboratively with others
*Problem solving and decision making; actively seeks and is open minded to ideas, makes decision based on factual information and evidence, resolves issues promptly but also allows others to provide solutions
