This successful integrated agency with unparalleled clients is looking for an experienced Data Account Director to join their data team.

The Role

Responsibilities include:

  •  Data account management leadership and client satisfaction
  • Formulation of commercially sound and value adding proposals
  • Presentation of proposals and deliverables to clients
  • Project direction and delivery
  • Commercial and financial management of client business in conjunction with Client Services Account Director
  • People management, personnel development and recruitment of direct team
  • Business development and support for new business pitching
  • Support business planning and budgeting
  • Support development of process and procedures
  • Responsible for adherence to quality assurance processes, Data Protection Act / European Directives and PECR privacy regulations

The Person

 Required qualities:

  •  Commercialism – able to identify opportunity and capitalize on this profitably
  • Enthusiasm - proactive, able to demonstrate good initiative
  • Communication – excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Presentation - Strong client facing and presentation skills
  • Accuracy – good attention to detail at all times
  • Efficacy - a well organised person with excellent task & time management, capable of managing multiple-tasks
  • Extensive direct / database marketing knowledge  - analytical and logically minded, with a thorough understanding of data and the application of this in a direct marketing environment
  • Flexibility - within this role there will be great opportunities for travel in Europe and the UK

Required experience:

  • Proven database marketing background preferably in part at least from Agency side with a sound understanding of customer data and databases
  • Knowledge of component disciplines including data analysis, data planning, database management
  • Thorough understanding of the campaign planning and execution process
  • Proposal development & pricing
  • Formal presentation
  • People management, well proven task and project management skills
  • Competent / advanced ability in MS Excel, Project, PowerPoint
  • The role is non-technical though any experience of manipulating data and databases will be an advantage, but is not essential. MS Access skills are desirable but not essential
