Account Director – Sponsorship/events – top London agency - up to £50k
Rare opportunity for a SPONSORSHIP ACCOUNT DIRECTOR to join my client who are a well-respected Worldwide agency. For the short to medium term, the Account Director will be directly responsible for working closely with the client to develop, implement and manage a key UK ENTERTAINMENT PARTNERSHIP and in the long term be very involved in the development and design of the greater international platform.
General description and duties:
- Assist in the management of the client’s core entertainment partnership in the UK
- Assist in the strategic development of the entertainment platform
- Work closely with established US agency team to leverage client and industry relationships as well as best practices
- Alongside the client’s UK team assist in managing the partner relationship:
- Execute all contractual assets/elements
- Stay abreast of partner’s key short/long term initiatives/goals
- Serve as support to and bridge between client and partner where appropriate
- Show ROI through reporting and program development
- Help maximize existing sponsorship assets
- Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the sponsorship project including management of budget, development of success metrics, client communication, etc.
- Find organic growth opportunities and work closely with UK and US agency teams to secure future revenue streams
- Participate in the client’s Inter-Agency Team to integrate SPONSORSHIP strategies within overall client’s marketing communications
- Involvement in contract negotiations with properties/partners, as appropriate
- Provide strategic guidance for the client focusing on venue/promoter partnerships including music and sports programs
Experience and credentials:
- Previous experience in entertainment industry: ticketing, promoter, record label, artist management, etc. - mandatory
- Considerable experience of progressive client service experience
- Agency experience
- Exceptional client management skills
- Proven success in leading a multi-disciplinary team in delivering exceptional work(creatively and strategically solid) while meeting financial objectives
- Strategist
- Successful leadership of clients
- Successful negotiator of tie-in partners, sponsorships, etc.
