The Agency

A leading, multichannel agency network which creates award-winning experiences spanning traditional, digital, social and mobile media, as well as new technologies and invented media is looking to hire a Content Copywriter to join one of their client teams.

The agency has had a number of notable new-client-wins making this a fantastic time to join the agency. This Content Copywriter role is to work for one of these new clients; a well-known name in financial services.

The agency is responsible for all strategy, creative and implementation projects across this account’s core direct marketing channels. 

The agency is looking for a Content Copywriter with a background in direct marketing and ideally some financial services experience. 

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Creative Officer, the Content Copywriter will join a new team, built up to service the digital and direct requirements of one of the agency’s newest clients. You would be working largely independently, but alongside a dedicated designer (on the same client) as well as concept teams, creative directors and client services.

As Content Copywriter, you will be coming up with written content for this high-profile FS client’s consumer, business and premier banking divisions. Working in partnership with an ATL and digital agency, you will be working collaboratively to create phenomenal, fully-integrated campaigns that really turn heads.

Based within the creative team, the Content Copywriter will act as a support to the Creative Director in taking concepts, following templates and crafting everything from first to final copy.

The Content Copywriter will be able to write in a way that reflects the tone of voice of the client and be able to pick up projects at the latter stage and get to grips with amends quickly.

This opportunity is best suited to a content writer who would like to own a brand’s tone of voice and implement that across several communications platforms. In terms of media, output will span inserts, direct mail, POS and email.

The Candidate

The Content Copywriter must have solid experience as a writer, ideally working on financial products in a creative/marketing agency (although not essential)

You will be familiar with working to corporate guidelines and brand restrictions but also have strong writing ability and proven experience of delivering ideas which bring projects to life .

As well as having excellent written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrable ability to explain and pitch ideas , the Content Copywriter will have experience of workflow management and a clear understanding of the value of ‘best practice’ techniques and document/version control.
