Director of Digital - Leading Children's Charity
Our client is a leading children’s charity with an outstanding record of campaigning for change, and delivering excellent services, that transform the lives of children and their families.
Our client has made significant progress in building its digital presence. Now, with the emergence of an exciting new strategic direction for the charity together with significant investment in digital, they want to take this presence to the next stage and put digital right at the heart of everything they do – from fundraising and campaigning right through to service development.
Director of Digital
Location: Based in London
Salary: circa £60,000
To help them do this they’re looking for a Director of Digital to lead them, towards a digital-first approach. Naturally such a person will have outstanding technical expertise. Your background might be in the commercial or non-profit sector, but you’ll have extensive experience of developing and delivering transformational digital strategy in a fast-moving environment. A talented digital team will be taking their lead from you, so proven skills in management, plus a strong interest in developing people, will be essential. Working in partnership with colleagues from across the organisation will come naturally to you. You’ll probably have a degree and possibly a business-related Masters.
First and foremost you must be someone who can create, and see through, a compelling vision for digital that will change the way we interact with our audiences. There is great enthusiasm for digital development across the organisation, so we are looking for someone who can leverage this enthusiasm but who also has the drive and determination to make the rapid progress they need. More than anything else they need someone who believes in the ability of digital to improve the lives of the most disadvantaged children and young people in the country who they are there to serve – and make it happen.
Closing Date: Monday 26th November 2012.
