Background:

Our client is a funky London lifestyle website that was launched by an ex-advertising copywriter last November as a funded start-up.  Since its inception the site has been incredibly successful, attracting 10,000+ members, and garnering a myriad of positive publicity.  Having recently secured second round funding our client is now looking for a Partnerships & Affiliates Manager to take the site to the next level, and massively grow visits and membership through partnerships and affiliates.

The Role:

The Partnerships Manager will lead the marketing partnerships and affiliates activity, identifying partners with a strong brand and audience fit, introducing them to the site, getting mutually beneficial deals signed, and then getting them up and running.

The Partnerships Manager will be expected to create and execute a strategy that runs all the way from some of the country's biggest publishers down to one-man-band bloggers. To do this he/she’ll not only be the external face of the brand to our partners, but also to work closely with the CEO and product team to develop site features which unlock new partnership opportunities. 

The Candidate:

This Partnerships Manager will be culturally connected and have a natural affinity with ‘lifestyle’ brands; the skills to be an ambassador the site and communicate its selling points effectively; and stacks of creativity to dream up ever more inventive partnership ideas, which work as hard for our partners as they do for the website’s members. 

As the Partnerships Manager you:

  • may come from a sales background, but have also have demonstrated creativity and flair in finding and executing deals.
  • may come from an affiliate or partnerships role, but be as good at finding partnerships as executing them.
  • may be a marketing whizz with an endless stream of great ideas and the powers of persuasion to get them up and running.

This Partnerships Manager must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in one of the above mentioned fields, and have some sort of proven track record in sales.  The role would ideally suit a savvy, go-getter with an entrepreneurial streak looking to work in a really innovative company.
