Junior Designer

A great opportunity has arisen with one of the largest membership organisations in London for companies of all sizes providing them with support and advice.

Due to an increase in internal demand on the marketing team, the team has room for one more to help with their push to become more more digital and social media savvy.

Key Responsibilities

- Design digital and hard copy marketing collateral for all teams. Creating new designs from concept through to distribution as well as:
o reviewing artwork and refresh existing documents
o designing flyers, brochures, newsletters, reports, posters, stationery, signage, logo design, pop up banners, exhibition stands, animated gifs, web friendly imagery and creating email broadcasting templates
- Undertake day-to-day administration and project management associated with design
- Carry out website updates and contribute to the site`s development

Other Responsibilities

- Use the membership database to accurately record communication with members, i.e. with printers, mailing houses, other third party suppliers
- Handle complaints effectively


Qualifications and Experience

Strong project management skills
Degree standard qualification in design or equivalent professional experience
Fluent on Mac and PC
Proficient in QuarkXpress 9, Adobe CS6 suite including; Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver
Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Experience designing digital graphics for email broadcasting systems
Solid experience of creating visual communications suitable for both hard copy and digital
Knowledge of:
- marketing
- picture researching - sourcing and purchasing imagery
- print process - both lithography and digital
- print buying
- website design and administration
- social media channels
- digital SLR photography

Essential Skills

Strong typographic skills and a very good eye for detail
Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Time management and prioritisation
