Salary £34,000 - £37,500 

Save the Children has set out an exciting 10-year ambition to inspire dramatic change for children, and a clear 3-year strategic plan designed to position us to achieve this.

The Fundraising Campaign Development Team was created 18 months ago to help realise our ambition to engage the nation. Our aim is to raise as much money and awareness as possible for Save the Children’s work by delivering a portfolio of participation moments for selected target audiences across the UK. To transform participant experience and build a sustainable community of support for Save the Children and inspire a team of volunteers to deliver campaign objectives where appropriate.

As Fundraising Campaign Development Manager you role will be core within the team and you will:

  • Develop existing business and new fundraising campaigns, ensuring they are fully scoped, delivered and evaluated
  • Raise as much money and awareness as possible for Save the Children’s work
  • Project manage a cross-organisational team to deliver a portfolio of participation moments for selected target audiences across the UK
  • Transform participant experience to build a sustainable community of support for Save the Children
  • Inspire a team of volunteers to deliver campaign objectives where appropriate.

This role requires:

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills and experience of leading inter-departmental project management teams
  • Significant experience of promoting and marketing events across all media
  • Significant experience of running large scale fundraising campaigns, including new business development and project management
  • Experience of working with volunteers and supporters and understanding what motivates them to support a charity and raise money
  • A proven ability to lead and inspire movements of community participants
  • The ability to work across departmental boundaries to achieve shared organisational goals
  • A team player
  • Experience of people management
  • Strong external commercial awareness
  • Experience of Mass Participation fundraising is desirable.
