Account Manager - Consumer Goods
THE COMPANY and ROLE
We're looking for an ambitious Account Manager to join a global agency to work on the acquisition activity for a key client of theirs. Currently the majority of the work is traditional DM - so mailings, door drops and inserts, however the plan to is take the client into a multi channel approach by 2013, delivering a targeted and tailored marketing programme using everything from Social to Mobile to E-marketing . So although this role will start off being classic DM it should grow into something much more varied over the year. There will also be the opportunity to work on the customer acquisition activity for a major sports initiative to go live in 2013.
The client is quite demanding but that's because they have challenging targets to hit. The right person will have a real 'can do' 'half glass full' attitude and be hungry to learn and determined to deliver. The team who are dedicated to this client are about 30 strong including Creatives and Planners, but Account Handlers/Project Managers total about 20. This is a great opportunity for someone young and ambitious to learn a lot. This agency are well known for mentoring and developing their talent.
You could be an experienced AM but equally you could be SAE looking for promotion to AM. You don't need to have come from a pure traditional offline DM agency, although this would be handy, but you do need to have 18 - 24 months solid account handling experience. Equally important is that you have right aptitude/attitude. We're looking for someone to bring a big dose of 'oomph and energy' into the team. This is an exciting opportunity and they want an exciting person!
