The agency team will consist of a Creative Services Manager, Designer and Creative Team(s).
Whilst this agency operation is new, there is already existing studio, production and copywriting resource based permanently within the client's Offices, so the concept is well established already.
The agency team will be directly accountable to clients with briefing and presentation of work happening without outside interaction. The agency will be responsible for delivering a wide range of communications materials for the client, ranging from press advertising, customer comms, sponsorship/display materials, direct marketing, internal comms and more.
There will be a mixture of new conceptual ideas and adaptations required, bringing consistency and strength to the brand.
The agency will be responsible for a high output of marketing materials across the entire product portfolio. It's an ambitious and evolutionary brand to work on with very high creative standards in everything they do. Creativity is very much celebrated and the client team, many of whom are themselves ex-agency, are motivated, energetic and work as a team.
The role and responsibilities:
The Designer will take briefs directly from the creative team as well as, on occasion, from the client's Marketing teams, work will be scheduled and managed by a dedicated Creative Services Manager.
The Designer will be responsible for working up conceptual ideas produced by the Creative Team to presentation format. Additionally they will be responsible for ensuring ideas presented comply with current brand guidelines for look and feel.
Where jobs are briefed directly by Marketing Teams, requirements are likely to involve utilising and repurposing existing assets. It will require a creative eye and a strong design capability to ensure the highest standards are maintained. The Designer will present their work directly to the Marketing Team when required. Final artwork and imagery files will be created and managed by the in house studio
The skills required:
*Expert use of design and artwork packages - Photoshop. CS5 etc
*The ability to take hand drawn concepts and add a level of design which brings ideas to life
*Understanding of Web build functionality - design rather than build
*Client friendly - diplomacy, solution focussed.
*Self starter - you will be responsible for meeting deadlines
*The ability to multitask, not every brief will be sequential
*Working knowledge of production processes for printed materials
*Clear briefing skills for design and artwork
*Ability to self-police against brand guidelines and tone of voice.
*Exacting levels of attention to detail
*Maintenance of ordered electronic job bags to ensure accuracy of archived materials
Most likely to have a BTL agency background. Experience of working in a regulated market - utilities, telecoms, financial services.
