This global travel company is seeking a well qualified Product Manager to accommodate the multi-faceted needs of one of its software development hubs.

The diversification and increased usage of the site and has led to the need for a Product Manager to facilitate the on-going expansion of one of its internal software products. This role will be the liaison and face of the company, the Product Manager will be working closely with the original developer of the software and the rest of the software development team in order to understand modifications being made and to communicate developments to the other departments within the company. The Product Manager will analyse the feedback attained from the departments to fuel the insight which will be instrumental in stimulating new ideas and possibilities to strengthen the company on the global market.

This role is based in Edinburgh and will require an amount of international travel. Initially you will need to be prepared to spend a few weeks in Australia and then some time around Europe. This will quiet down as their role progresses, but we do need someone who is happy to spend time away as and when needed by the business.

The Key responsibilities of the Product Manager will encompass supporting software development, communicating with the team, staff and customers to help them conceptualise new developments.

Be responsible for the IT audit - getting the required information and presenting findings
Serve as a conduit for communication between the software development team and the various company brands. Working with the international offices - Australia, Switzerland, Canada, South Africa and Ireland
Be involved in setting up a new Online reservations system
Updating sales systems to a new smart phone version within 12-18 months
Manage the department budget
Recruiting new employees and helping to grow the brand and team
Be involved in testing and user acceptance of new functionality
Add sales and payment functions appealing to the demographic of new markets

Essential Skills and Experience

Proven Product Management experience
Senior negotiator with a love for travel
Proven leader who can get the best out of their teams
A strong software background - you must be able to work with technical staff and relay information to non-technical stakeholders
A sound knowledge of .Net and Microsoft technology is essential for this role
Happy to travel as and when required
