Content Director - Social Media Agency
This is a new role working across the whole agency portfolio and this hire is ultra special to them as the successful candidate will be instrumental in the creation and delivery of a real time content studio that marries editorial production, social analytics and community management.
What are the main responsibilities?
*Recruit & manage a new content team, comprising of: content strategist, content producer, content editor(s) and designer
*Liaise with key stakeholders within the agency to deliver 'always on' client content strategies
*Present and demonstrate content strategy business cases to clients
*Set the editorial vision/strategy for each client account
*Editorial ideation and creative direction
*Oversee the production of editorial ideas into client content strategies
*Commission and manage freelancers, inc: writers, photographers, illustrators and animators
*Define best practice for the planning, production and creation of digital content
*Manage the editorial work flow between content and community management teams
*Establish the right tools and technology to support an efficient publishing work flow
*Lead a daily editorial meeting and oversee client content calendars
*Manage client content production to budget and deadlines
*Conduct content audits, critiques and competitor analysis
*Commission, attend and manage (where necessary) photo-shoots
*Writing, editing, proofreading and sub-editing
*Provide editorial training sessions internally and to client stakeholders
*Contribute to new business pitches and consult on campaign briefs
*Attend regular client review meetings with account management teams
*Regularly monitor trends in content strategy, curation and creation
*Raising the agency profile
The successful candidate could come from a variety of backgrounds; digital content strategy, online journalism, online editorial or social media content planning.
