An international kitchen and bathing accessories company is looking for a high caliber candidate to join their team as Industrial Lead Designer in their Shanghai Design Studio.
- Key design expert/leader in the given category
- Lead large, complex design projects from concept generation through implementation
- Work very closely with all new product development departments, especially Engineering, Marketing, Purchasing, and Manufacturing, in a team atmosphere achieving new levels of creativity and innovation with their key projects
- Lead new product development concept development activities, prototyping activities and project cost adherence
- Learn, understand and implement new approaches to concept development and design research
- Maintain current awareness of consumer and competitor product offerings including product design trends in both the U.S. and in foreign markets
- Experience in interior design, architecture, furniture, lighting, consumer research and/or other related field
- Degree holder with at least 8+ years of industry experience
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Mandarin, other Asian language capability beneficial
