This is an exciting opportunity for a PR graduate to play a significant role within our client’s team which will allow them to acquire important work based skills for the future.
Our client is the specialist charity for special children and disabled children and their families have been at the very heart of the charity since it was established in 1991. Due to medical advancements more babies and children are surviving conditions, infections, accidents and prematurity but many then go on to face short term or enduring disability. Their needs and their families are all central to the work of the charity.
Our client works hard in a number of specific areas to support the needs of disabled and life limited children:
- The Nurse Services
- Equipment Grants
- The ‘Just Can’t Wait’ programme supports the specific needs of terminally ill children and their families
- Medical Research
- Campaigns for change to get a fairer deal for families with disabled children

Paid Internship PR and Copy Assistant
Hours: 35 per week
Monday to Friday 9.30pm to 5.00pm
Remuneration: £7 per hour
The successful candidate will be a graduate who will undertake this paid internship to assist with the effective delivery of key messages via press releases, liaising with the media, updating information for digital media and creating copy for e-newsletters and brochures.
Likely to possess a degree in Public Relations or similar, the new incumbent will support the PR Department in various PR related activities including copy writing; therefore excellent written and spoken English will be essential.
In addition they are seeking someone who is confident in their approach, who can engage quickly and effectively with people across all levels, driven by a passion for the Charity’s cause and motivated by this exciting and challenging opportunity to deliver complex and competing messages, to a national audience.
