Mid-weight UX Designer - £40k - £50k - Global Ecommerce
One of the world's, if not, the leading Ecommerce company is on the search for a mid-weight UX Designer to join their growing Central London digital team. As a mid-weight UX Designer, you will be responsible for developing the best consumer experiences in a fast-paced, start-up like environment across multiple platforms (including TV and touchscreen).
-Transform creative ideas into practical reality. Analyse user interface problems and create on-brand design solutions that meet measurable business goals and requirements.
-Contribute to the evolution of your team's design practices, recommending improvements in existing standards and patterns or creating new patterns.
-Create user-centred designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, technical constraints/opportunities and usability findings.
Work closely with the business team to develop use cases and high-level requirements.
-Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flows for the instant video browse and playback experience on multiple platforms.
-Quickly yet thoroughly create process flows, wireframes and visual design mock-ups.
-Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications.
-Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and Senior stakeholders for review and feedback.
-Provide creative leadership in the area of digital video discovery and consumption
-Mid-weight experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, visual interactive designer, or similar role.
-A UX body of work demonstrating experience of creating user-centred design solutions across television platforms and/or touch screen devices.
-Clean, organised approach to layout, visual design and typography.
-Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills.
-Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs.
-Fluency in best practices for device-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
-Proficiency in a variety of design and motion tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects.
-Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides.
Ability to prototype in Keynote, AfterEffects, or any other software suited to big screen presentations.
