Exciting maternity cover role for a smart, commercially savvy consumer insights professional to join this high profile global business with DIY & decorating brands known by millions.  In this key role supporting the European and UK businesses and with a £multi-million budget, you’ll provide insightful research solutions and a deep understanding of the company’s brands, consumers and customers - ensuring that marketing activity, communication and decision making reflects research based consumer needs.  You will work closely with major MR agencies to generate added value results from qual & quant initiatives with a remit spanning communications, innovation, brand health and strategy.  Sharing insights and best practice with the wider global MR & Insights team is also essential in this role as is keeping up to date with new methodologies and thinking.

 

Our Ideal Candidate

 

To succeed in this role, you will have a robust background gained in a leading FMCG or other consumer goods business or in a research agency working closely with consumer clients.  This will include experience of managing qual and quant projects, possibly including facilitating workshops and consumer session too.  Commercial savvy with a good grasp of business and marketing priorities is key, as are strong presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to present data to internal and external audiences. You will be fully conversant in the latest research techniques and will of course be able to write clear briefs, select appropriate suppliers and manage external suppliers in accordance with guidelines laid down globally.  You will have well-honed project management skills with a clear focus on both the detail and the bigger picture.  Although not essential, membership of the MRS and/or ESOMAR would be valuable.
