Marketing Manager - Leisure
Our client is a leading and global leisure business and they are in the process of recruiting a high calibre Marketing Manager to drive forward the growth of their hospitality side of business by setting the strategic marketing agenda, developing creative plans, ensuring seamless execution whilst coaching and developing your team to ensure continued sales growth.
The key responsibilities of the post are:-
1.Lead the strategic marketing agenda for hospitality sales and fulfilment by writing and gaining alignment to the annual Strategic Plan to ensure hospitality revenue and retention targets are achieved/exceeded.
2.Propose marketing spend and take ownership of the total hospitality marketing budget.
3.Set the investment plan to achieve the right balance between media, production, promotion, product development, etc.
4.To create seasonal marketing campaigns and additional promotions as required to maximise hospitality sales through communicating with current and prospective clients, establishing alliances, developing promotional opportunities in print and online as well as forming marketing and media partnerships.
5.To develop innovative programmes, promotions and campaigns which will encourage loyalty, repeat visits and increased client spend per head.
6.To manage the development and implementation of all hospitality marketing activity, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
7.Produce a calendar of offers / marketing activities for the hospitality sales department with weekly updates.
8.Instigate tracking and follow up methods to monitor effectiveness of campaigns.
9.To develop and maintain strong, effective working relationships across the company, particularly with associated departments.
10.To lead projects and initiatives for both online and offline marketing of the business' hospitality products and services.
11.Management of all key senior external contacts and sponsorship marketing team to drive profitable growth.
12.To be responsible for staffing matters including the recruitment, retention and welfare of staff along with any disciplinary and grievance cases.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:
*A relevant Marketing related degree/qualification
*Good copywriting skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
*Proven track record in a senior management position within a venue
*Creative flair and an innovative approach
*Team leadership with ability to delegate
*Standards and quality driven
*Sound financial awareness
*Ability to work in a multi task, highly pressurised environment
*Ability to manage both on a hands-on and strategic level
*Be computer literate, familiar with Microsoft office or similar packages
*Able to direct individuals from different parts of the business towards a common goal
*The ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner
*A practical approach to problem solving
*A commitment to driving forwards continuous improvement
*Sound personal qualities such as communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment, self-motivation, enthusiasm and ability to work under pressure.
