Why this Consultancy?
Having been a fully-functional strategy and design consultancy for less than 5 years, you can only be impressed by the portfolio of major global clients these guys have on their books. Although this business is vibrant and fast-growing, it's still small enough to include everyone in decision making and has a relatively loose structure. This ethos of collaboration and close-knit culture is something the business prides itself on - it's becoming increasingly difficult to find UX roles that combine great work, great clients and a close-knit, relaxed and genuinely collaborative culture. What we have found in this client is just that. Culture is extremely important in this consultancy, so lone-wolves need not apply. This is a full service outfit, with project managers, technologists, visual designers and user experience practitioners all under the one roof.
All of this budding UX talent will of course require some direction. The Lead UX will be expected to develop and mentor more junior members of the team and be an advocate for the consultancy in the wider User Experience community. Collaboration will be important across the business, ensuring the UX is considered at every stage of the project and the outcome exceeds expectations. This role will involve pitching to new and existing clients, so confidence and a real passion for what you do is essential. Alongside strategic direction, mentoring, pitching and evangelising, the Lead UX will still remain hands-on practitioner when necessary.

Our client is looking for inspirational practitioners with a history of working at this level within an agency or consultancy environment. Pitching must be second nature to you and you must be able to prove your ability to provide UX focused solutions to complex digital problems. You should have experience managing or mentoring junior members of a team, alongside an abundance of passion, bundles of ideas and you must know the correct tools to use to communicate your solutions. You must be highly collaborative and want to be part of a close-knit, winning team.
