Multi-Channel Communications Director

Our client is a leading player in the Global Healthcare Communications industry and they are looking to develop their digital arm of the business. They are seeking an individual who is passionate about digital solutions within the pharmaceutical/healthcare space (ideally, not essential).

Working within an agency team you will be responsible for the integration of digital solutions, tailored to our client's needs, as part of a multichannel approach. In essence the MCD will be the go-to person within the agency for translating communication challenges into digital solutions in partnership with their in-house digital group. You will work as part of a network of likeminded individuals to drive growth digital growth, integrate digital channels into our core business and innovate internally and externally.

Key responsibilities as follows -

· Working within an agency team, understand and challenge client/product strategy to identify needs and recommend multichannel solutions that address their needs

· Work closely with 'eProject Leader' to scope out the project alongside key stakeholders, such as other agency team members, plus the strategy, design and technology teams


- Using strong business development skills, including influencing and presentation skills, to sell the multichannel solutions to our clients

· Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to deliver against the agreed scope in line with the client's brief, acting as the key client liaison


· To bring new ideas into the team, based on assessment of current and future opportunities in the Pharma space

· To build a thorough knowledge of all offerings and how they will add value to client/product

· To share new digital offerings/best practice working across own agency and to other agencies via the MCD network

· Working knowledge of competitor agencies, their key strengths and potential divisional opportunities

· Able to build strong relationships with internal agency teams, digital team and client teams, working together to identify digital opportunities

Finance

· Responsible for meeting defined financial target for digital sales

· Work with ePL and account team to define project scope, ensure it meets clients needs and is accurately budgeted

· Report own time and expenses on time and accurately

Operations

· Recommend infrastructure and processes to share ideas and best practice within the agency team, and with other MCDs across the Group.

· Identify opportunities to build knowledge and skill of agency teams, including driving education across the agency around digital solutions, bringing together experts from within and outside the business

· Support and be a driver of innovation and change

Job Qualifications and attributes needed for the role

· Healthcare agency experience, with very strong digital knowledge

· Evidence of development and delivery of strategic/tactical digital communications programmes

· Ability to build strong relationship with internal and external teams

· Highly- developed professional solution selling ability

· Ability to coach internal teams and build skills sets of agency team to understand how to build digital solutions into existing communication mix

· A thorough understanding of clients and pharma industry environment in the context of the digital world

· Excellent influencing and negotiation skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Confident and decisive, determined and committed

· Clarity and sound judgment
