Creative Director / Design Director
The agency creates and designs brand experiences, starting with a strategy, they then choose the appropriate media to deliver it and then design the complete experience. They are working with some huge clients including Bosch, Volkswagen, Red Bull, as well as some smaller clients such as theatres, healthcare and music applications.
The agency is 55 people large and won't grow a huge amount more. The founder believes you retain a sense of contact with the creative process and clients if an agency doesn't grow too big. Currently 55% of the team are digitally focused
Digital Product Services is almost ½ of their turnover now and they are driving really large projects in this direction
- All digital projects are run in SCRUM (agile PM process)
-They don't use PM's the scrum master coordinates the projects.
-The Creative Director works as a creative senior with the scrum master and will be working on 3-4 projects at any time and managing approx 6 direct reports.
-Currently there are 2 CDs - 1 is from more of a traditional branding perspective. The other is the person leaving.
-They have an ECD who is from a purely digital background and another from a Branding background.
-They have a strong bank of visual designers who are very good. - Understanding the aesthetic is really important to them.
THE ROLE: OF DIGITAL CREATIVE DIRECTOR:

The Digital Creative Director will be based in Berlin so this is a huge factor for them in terms of location. German is not necessary, they have a lot of people from different places so English is the language predominantly spoken in the office. This is a huge opportunity for someone who loves branding design and client liaison.
