HEAD OF PRODUCT MARKETING - FINANCIAL SERVICES

A leading UK Retail and Business Bank is looking for a strategic Head of Product Marketing to be at the centre of its customer led marketing.
This is a significant, pivotal role for a Head of Product Marketing to join this high profile successful global bank. You will be given the responsibility to ‘own and drive’ the customer and marketing agenda at the firm. You’ll be given a broad canvass and have a large impact spanning the firm as a whole and have ‘the ear’ of senior management. You will lead a team who will analsyse the ideas from each business area, making sure they meet customer needs, ensuring that great ideas are backed up with the right resources and given funding for a speedy delivery, always making sure that new innovative products and ideas are bought to market giving added value to their customers.
Managing a high performing team of 4 and reporting to the Strategy and Planning Director, you will responsible for the Product and Service Development Strategy ensuring that a stream of products and services are tailored for the needs of key audiences. It will be your responsibility to drive innovative new propositions and distribution options to maximise value to the customer through thorough and rigorous testing processes, ensuring that only the best ideas are developed and aligned with the wider firms plans and initiatives.
You will develop comprehensive project plans from in-depth analysis and work closely with the Customer and Marketing Team to ensure that all ideas are concepts are tested, designed and delivered to market in the right way, taking ownership and responsibility for the end to end delivery. Provide thought leadership on strategic direction to senior stakeholders and keep abreast of external/market trends.
As a graduate (or equivalent) you will need to be able to demonstrate an extensive strategic retail background (not necessarily from financial services) but where you have a proven record of innovating and taking exciting customer focussed products to markets. You will have a deep understanding of the drivers and growth in retail business and a deep understanding of driving income growth through added value customer products. You will need to come from a complex stakeholder organisation and have significant experience leading projects with multiple senior stakeholders to tight timeframes and standards. A consummate communicator and excellent presenter you will have a genuine ability to forge successful internal partnerships with key stakeholders and a team management style that inspires results.
