THE COMPANY

Our client is the leading provider of healthcare information solutions in England, with a growing footprint internationally. Now they are looking for a driven, talented Head of Marketing to develop and deliver marketing strategies that feed into the overall business plan.

THE ROLE

The Head of Marketing will contribute to the development of new propositions and to existing product management as well as brand stewardship and thought leadership. Due to company expansion this role and its contribution to the business will evolve and the Head of Marketing will need to regularly challenge and re-examine existing activity and innovate where appropriate. Responsibilities will include:

* Lead the development of marketing strategy in delivering business objectives both in England and internationally
* Take responsibility for the execution of this strategy
* Set and manage the marketing budget
* Line manage the Marketing Communications Manager
* Manage external agency partners

YOU

As a strategic thinker who is customer focused, the Head of Marketing will already be experienced in operating at a senior level and is likely to have come from the NHS or a similar health background. Other requirements are:

* A good knowledge and understanding of how marketing fits with the broader business purpose and ability to contribute to the evolution of this
* Customer-focused, able to understand and interpret customers' needs and their implications
* Innovative, always looking for ways to improve marketing's contribution to the business
* Curious, interested in how changes in the wider political, economic, technological and cultural environment affect the NHS and the market for data and health informatics
* Commercially confident, taking responsibility for budget and agency contracts
* Experience of working with the NHS, in health informatics or parallel commercial areas would be advantageous but not essential.
