Head of Marketing

VisitBritain currently has an exciting permanent opening for a Head of Marketing, based in London. As Head of Marketing, your role will be to champion, lead and steer the organisation’s global consumer marketing strategy.
Managing the consumer marketing team on a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with Foreign and Commonwealth Office, UK Trade and Investment, British Council and Number 10 to provide strategic tourism vision and knowledge. You will create and foster an in-house marketing centre of excellence, as well as provide sound commercial, strategic and creative thinking, which will help drive on-going improvement in a competitive and shifting environment.
With solid experience at Account Director level (either in an advertising agency or strong in-house department), you will lead on the transformation of the organisation's marketing strategy. You will also ensure that the department maximises marketing opportunities by delivering hard-hitting brand and partnership response campaigns to drive interest in Britain and, ultimately, get people to visit the country.
