Headline:

A modern day agency, a start up with clout and one that is full of talented people needs an account man with strategic curiosity and a natural understand and sense of brands. The person could be a talented Account Manager or a Junior Account Director; it’s all down to the individual.

The Role:

Your role will be to work across a number of new business wins as well as getting involved in the pitching that the agency is currently undertaking. Due to the agency being in its infancy, there is not the structure and process of a larger network agency, meaning the role will evolve and adapt. The person cannot be afraid of this style.

The agency is full of people who can talk about brand through to where the next digital innovation is going to come from. You’ll need to therefore understand how traditional ATL media is produced as well as having experience in how to work with digital project managers.

You will be required to deliver creative and strategic inspiration internally while furthering the relationship with the clients at the same time. It is important that you are able to think for yourself as well as get involved with others who work around you.

The Candidate:

It goes without saying that you will need to have a passion and understanding of the creative industry.

You must be able to talk articulately about the problems that the brands you’ve worked on have had, the logic flow of how you have solved them and show that you haven’t just relied on a planner.

With all this you must be able to show an inner steel that you can deal with a demanding culture. All in the agency are fighting for the same thing, beautiful creative. With this comes tension and opinions that you must be able to not only deal with, but also contribute. If you’re not used to fighting for great work and don’t have the stomach for creative debates, then this won’t be the environment for you.

Saying all this, everyone in the agency has the same vision which is to come together to inspire each other, their clients and those that come into contact with their clients brands.

This person to succeed must have a love of getting under the skin of customers, their motivations, aspirations and brand connections.  With all of this you must be able to demonstrate how your innovative and logical mind can think laterally.

The agency nor the accounts needs an ego!

Summary:

It goes without saying that you must have examples that you can showcase the depth of your experience. Communicators you must be to ensure that you can influence and persuade not only those around you in collaborative way, but also in your style and way of story telling. With all of this, you must be able to have an idea and show that you really can be creative in a modern way.
