This marketing communications agency is a real diamond, small, but perfectly formed and because of continued growth they know seek a Content Director to join their team.
In other agencies, in another time this role might have been titled PR Account Director, but this agency really needs this role to reflect the changing environment across communications. The role will involve managing all aspects of the company’s PR, Social Media and Channel Monitoring services at Account Director level to a primarily b2b client base. You will assist with all PR strategy development for existing clients as well as providing strategic input and assistance with speculative tenders and pitches. Some of the agency’s clients are quite traditional and take the route of case studies, releases, features etc, but others are much more driven by social media and the advantages that this brings to their business. You will manage a team of five people and be responsible for ensuring their continued development and understanding of new technologies, but you must also be prepared to be hands on and get on with ‘doing’ as well as ‘managing’. Despite being small this agency was really quick to develop their digital and social media offering with great results for their clients, and know they’re keen to help their more traditional clients to achieve great results this way.
To be considered for this role you must be happy to work within a b2b environment, although our client would love someone who also had consumer experience as their business is not exclusively trade and this might offer new insights. You will have worked within an agency environment at a senior level, although you may currently be inhouse and you must have a really good understanding of social media. You will want to work within a small agency environment, and to ensure that really longstanding clients who have loved working with this agency because of their knowhow, don’t dare to leave them for fear of missing out on something new.
