Head of Online Demand Generation

Manchester£75000 - £90000 per annum + Benefits + Bonus

We are searching for a Head of Demand Generation to report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer for an online business that has trebled revenue in just less than 5 years! You will be have the opportunity to take control of the demand generation strategy, execution and budget.

Attracting close to fifty million unique visitors in the past year alone, the organisation is an incredibly dynamic, agile and entrepreneurial business, able to leverage their in-house technology to maximise returns through continually optimising the customer experience. The successful candidate will act as an integral member of the senior leadership team, helping to lead marketing's efforts to grow UK market share.

Responsibilities:

*Lead overall Demand Generation (responsible for a budget of c£20m) efforts including helping to form overall strategy, producing traffic generation goals and forecasts, setting the budget spend priorities, and measuring overall results against plan.
*Directly manage Demand Generation team of four (PPC Manager, PPC Assistant, SEO and Social) and manage the portfolio of marketing programs (retargeting, digital display, social, mobile, search engine optimisation and paid search marketing)
*Monitor and analyse performance overall against traffic, CPA and ROI goals and continually make and implement recommendations for optimisation and ongoing growth.
*Identify new optimisation tests and growth opportunities and areas for additional investment
*Lead overall integrated campaign strategy and plans, outlining key marketing themes, messages, and offers and mediums for promotions throughout the year.
*Co-ordinating and communicate with marketing and ecommerce function as appropriate to ensure deliverables are being executed on and best practices and learnings are shared across various teams for continual improvement and optimisation.


Qualifications/Skills:

*Leadership experience of Paid Search and SEO within an online company, with proven ability to deliver consistently strong measurable results.
*Strong experience and expertise in digital marketing, paid search and search engine optimisation
*Experience in running a portfolio of traffic generation programs
*Experience with working and developing Paid Search Bid tools (in house or 3rd party) and associated data modelling (attribution models, propensity models)
*Experience working with Analytics platforms: Google, In house, Coremetrics, Omniture etc
*Strong analytical and quantitative skills-must have both an interest and skill in analysing and making meaning out of data and translating that into actionable changes.
*A mindset of optimisation and testing. Must have track record and a strong approach to the job of constantly optimising various programs, testing new ways of executing and new traffic programmes and making decisions based on objective data to keep refining programs and investments.
*Strong campaign management orientation, identify new themes / topics, offers, and platforms to reach target market with those messages and offers.
*Strong interpersonal and team-building capabilities, ability to develop strong trust-based relationships and manage effectively.
*Creative, high energy, innovative, proactive, and resourceful.
*High attention to detail and focus on quality output necessary. Strong project management skills.
