Marketing Analyst

Working with the customer retention manager you will help maximise the long-term profitability of customers through the delivery of relevant customer and activity based insight. Your main focus will be increasing customer retention by providing actionable customer insight and analytics which supports communication and operational planning.

Key responsibilities:
 Develop models to predict customer behaviour using transactional data, including acquisition, cross, up-sell, lapse, churn and win back
 Create segmentations based on purchasing profiles
 Generate product affinities i.e. people who buy also buy…
 Identify new opportunities to leverage value of Customer data
 Recommend future enhancements to data analysis
 Improve processes to ensure above elements are carried out efficiently
 Develop our understanding of customer profitability and customer lifetime value
 Develop our understanding of how customers' attitude affects purchasing behaviour
 To work with the Marketing Team to establish Marketing targets within the regular planning cycle
 Ensure that relevant customer insights are used to direct future marketing activity
 Develop, manage and maintain reporting processes that track campaigns and facilitate post-campaign analysis including CPR, CPA and ROI
 Ad-hoc behavioural analysis

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
 Confidence with, and practical application of, analytical techniques
 SPSS or SAS software experience
 Experience with SQL Server beneficial
 Strong business acumen, with ability to ask the “right questions” of the data
 Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects
 Exceptional time management skills
 Familiarity with Customer Relationship management (CRM)
 Confidence presenting to Senior Management team
 Extensive experience in creating and querying customer datasets in SAS or SPSS from other data sources
 Customer analysis experience in a direct marketing environment
 Documenting and presenting results of segmentation and analysis
 Application of segmentation in promotions and reporting
 Comfortable with working to tight deadlines
 B2B experience would be an advantage but is not an essential
