Are you a Senior Agency Account Handler / Business Director - who has risen up through the ranks in a traditional manner - having most recently held a Group Account Director title and/or CSD title of a small to medium sized agency?
And are you a GAD or Business Director who is inspirational, motivational, confident and 'thinks differently' when it comes to creative campaigns and client delivery?

This leading London agency, a recent award winner, are looking for a Business Director to join their team running a significant piece of business - which is FMCG in nature, with a strong Retail element and a growing remit within Digital and overall Brand Campaigns.
The agency are going through a huge transition as they focus on campaign delivery, big ideas and truly proactive work - versus traditional tactical and responsive work. Their delivery is TTL, with a slight BTL lean, but certainly Digital is at the heart of everything they do.
Recent hires at the Senior Level support this change, and everyone on board has the same vision - to make the agency famous again and make the client work even more famous!
The BD role requires a leader, a big thinker, and as mentioned - someone who 'thinks differently'. It's for someone who may be a Group Account Director - with a few years under their belt, and therefore ready for that next step. Or, they may have been a Client Service Director at a small to mid sized agency - BUT - can certainly step into a Big Brand - a Global Brand and a Large team.
Working alongside the Senior Planner and the Executive Creative Director, you as Business Director will help to 'spot opportunities', leverage new areas for innovation and push the team (and the agency) to look at things from a different light.
The day to day, nitty gritty, is handled by a strong team of Account Handlers - including Group Account Directors, Senior Account Directors, Account Directors, and Account Managers. It's a very large team - but again, the day is removed and for the BD it's about leadership, strategic guidance and the ability to 'spot opportunities' and 'seize moments'.
Looking at your background, the BD, will have cut their teeth on traditional FMCG business, and fully understand the challenges and opportunities within Retail. You'll also have developed Promotional, Experiential and Digitally led work - again, Digital and Social are core requirements, as this is part of the innovation driving activity.
A well rounded BTL background, with TTL experience, from some solid London agencies, and previous experience on Big Brands and Big Campaigns will support any application for the role of Business Director.
As the agency change and talk more about 'brands' versus 'product' and delivery - the campaigns as developed by the Business Director and Creative Director will lead the way for the future - the agency success and also the client success.
Summary requirement for the Business Director:
- Solid Agency background - having most recently been a GAD and/or CSD of a small to mid sized agency
- Proven experience with Big Brands and ideally Global Brands
- Solid understanding and experience with Promotional Marketing and Shopper
- Strong Digital experience
- Superb leadership - and ability to motivate and inspire
- Ability to truly 'think differently' and with recent examples
