THE ROLE
Nottingham Trent University is one of the UK's most forward thinking educational institutions and are looking to appoint a new Digital Head with overall responsibility for NTU's digital presence.

Overseeing a team of 20, you will be responsible for the ntu.ac.uk site and lead the strategic development of NTU's digital marketing capability, key aspects of which are editing, design, usability and functionality of ntu.ac.uk, social media strategy and the relationship between printed and digital marketing collateral. Through your well established and skilled team, you will be tasked with strengthening the social media platforms and ensuring a more fully integrated and cohesive, goal focussed marketing strategy is achieved.

Additionally, the University is currently sourcing a new CMS. The migration process will include a thorough review of site architecture to achieve an outstanding user journey, including the incorporation of responsive design and personalisation.
So we're looking for a Digital Marketing heavyweight with the experience to lead and manage from the front.

Principal duties and responsibilities:


· Lead the development of NTU's digital marketing capability to deliver University student recruitment and income generation objectives

· Oversee the strategic development of NTU's website ensuring that it meets the needs of all stakeholders

· Lead the long-term planning and concept development of all new web content, functionality and creativity within overall University guidelines of quality, style etc

· To develop innovative web and social media strategies/campaigns to deliver recruitment objectives

· Lead the development of video content best practice

· Ensure maximum value and effective insights are delivered from market research, market intelligence and web analytics

· Oversee the use of and lead the creative development of NTU brand guidelines for print and web

· Ensure an integrated approach to print and on-line marketing and advertising, leading an efficient and effective use of budgets

· Ensure the annual budget managed by this post delivers value for money through financial control and on-going activity/campaign analysis

· Lead and direct staff recruitment and development for the team. Ensure career progression opportunities are supported internally and managed appropriately.
Management of staff performance

· Management of external marketing agencies for market research and creative design


YOU

To be considered for this exceptional Head of Digital Marketing opportunity, you must be able to demonstrate:

· Extensive experience leading the development of a large digital estate

· Authority and gravitas, with a track record of innovation and achievement in the digital marketing space

· Expertise in strategic social media planning and implementation

· Experience of the application and use of video in multiple online channels

· Strong diplomacy and stakeholder management skills

· An affinity and understanding of the youth customer segment

· Experience managing sizeable teams
