You will be required to manage and develop the insights team to provide insight and analysis used in the business to inform effective decision making. In addition to this you will be managing relationships with research agencies; sharing insight with stakeholders, customer teams and key suppliers; developing a clear internal communications plan; scope and manage ad-hoc research that is required; put in place effective evaluation of key marketing activities; managing the research budget.
This organisation drive a lot of their strategy and decision making from research based insight; therefore, they are looking for someone with real breadth of experience on research, continuous and ad-hoc, quantitative and qualitative, who is highly articulate and strategic. You will need to be able to almost become a consultant across marketing and be able to draw out all the really important insights from the research that they buy and commission. You will also need to have some people management experience and be able to lead from the front and further develop some already highly skilled team members that are currently in place.
