Our client is one of the world's leading law firms. With a global presence and a full-service offering, they have witnessed impressive expansion over the last few years and are looking to carry this forward through an uplift in acquisitive Business Development activity. This has led to the requirement for a Bid Manager to join their Manchester-based office.
The business has significantly increased the focus it places on bid management meaning that the successful candidate must be a highly-proficient, proven bid manager. It is important that you have previously worked in another services environment and understand the challenges involved in working within a fast-paced partnership.
Key skills and experience required in the role include an ability to work self-sufficiently, articulacy, strategic-thinking, a clear thought-process, high levels of organisation, strong writing skills and an ability to challenge and question senior stakeholders with reasoned arguments.
You will have broad bid management experience writing bids, PQQs and RFIs and will enjoy working in a consultative capacity with a wide range of stakeholders. You will need to have a calm demeanour and will have worked with partners / senior colleagues on pre-pitch rehearsals etc that will bring a culture of best bid practice to the business.
The ideal candidate will possess a CIM qualification and will understand the principles of APMP thinking. Business services bids experience would also be a distinct advantage.
