Senior Marketing Manager - Events - Contract - Manchester

Rate: £40 per hour

Contract length: 9 months - Maternity Cover

Job Role: Marketing Manager - Campaign Management

My client, a global events company, is looking for a senior marketing manager to join their team on a 9 month contract basis. They run events across 30 countries so are looking for someone with international experience.

  • Global events across 30 countries
  • Become an integral part of the senior management team - responsible for a team of seven marketers
  • Develop strategic plans to maintain and grow the existing portfolio of events
  • Interesting and diverse portfolio with a variety of target audiences

Key Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Manage multiple B2B events
  • Manage international events
  • Responsible for a team of seven marketers
  • Develop strategic plans to maintain and grow the existing portfolio of events
  • Developing marketing strategies using cross channel marketing campaigns
  • Management of two direct reports and a wider team of seven

Essential Skills:
  • 3-5 years experience in the events sector
  • International experience
  • Relevant experience in marketing manager role with strong skills and a proven track record in a campaign management
  • Excellent relationship management skills on all levels, from front line agents to director level.
  • Adopts a flexible approach and embraces change or new ideas/ways of doing things
  • In depth experience of 3 / 4 marketing disciplines and a broad knowledge of the whole marketing mix.
  • Accurately implement and work in line with Company policies and procedures
  • Project a professional image at all times
  • Creative with idea generation skills to come up with new approaches on how to increase market share
  • Understands the workings of Business channels and can build relationship with channel managers
  • Maintain professional standards of quality of work, personal presentation and personal conduct in relation to yourself and your team
  • Maintain an accurate diary, utilising communications equipment and remain as accessible as possible throughout the working day
