My client is one of the leading broadcasters in the UK and they have an opening in their Trading team for someone to be responsible for creating and analysing sales plans and performance for one of the sub groups. The team exists to ensure growth with ever-increasing efficiency: building a tightly-managed sales and media planning process to ensure every pound spent in each channel is working as hard as it possibly can to acquire customers. They strive to deliver accurate and best-in-class forecasting and planning, promote optimisation and efficiency across channels, and create sales plans that maximise all KPIs.

The purpose of the role is to enable my client to forecast and plan sales accurately using insight from past sales trends across different media platforms, using that information to predict future activity and then suggesting optimisations based on observed trends and input from various internal teams.

The successful candidate will:

.Build and maintain Excel forecasting models to take inputs from media agencies, internal reports, marketing plans and other sources to create a bottom-up sales forecast

.Be expected to be able to manipulate this model to quickly run 'what-if' scenarios based on changes to any of the inputs, and refine the accuracy of this model as actual data becomes available

.Be able to provide high-level, graphical or visual summaries of the sales plan and its output in a form suitable for senior-level presentation

.Ultimately be able to use the insight gathered from the data and reports to identify trends and opportunities to increase the overall efficiency of the NOW TV sales plan

.Provide consolidated re-forecasts and latest KPI views as required

.Assist the Trading Controller and Head of Trading in providing insight into current sales trends

To be successful in this role you must have great analytical skills, attention to detail and an innate ability to spot trends within large amounts of information and data. You'll have excellent communication skills and be able to present complex ideas simply, using compelling data charting and visualisation techniques.
